Samba Summer GENERAL INFORMATION This Samba Summer Training Program is designed for high school soccer players age 14 and older. The goal is to prepare players for the upcoming high school soccer season, and the emphasis is on fitness, technique and tactics. Coach Peter Stephens will coordinate the program, which will include instruction from Boniface "Bazooka" Okafor -- a two-time All-American player for the University of West Florida and a professional player for a number of years. He currently holds a professional coaching license. Also appearing will be University of South Alabama assistant coach Mohammed El-Zare, who is the current director of coaching for the Mobile Soccer Club. INSTRUCTION DATES AND DETAILS The program will be conducted over a two-week period.
Training will be two times a day, with morning session from 7:30-10 a.m., and the evening session from 6-7:30 p.m. Allowances will be made for players who work. Please inform the staff during your registration about any conflicts.
Program fee: $100.00 per player WHAT TO BRING All participants must bring proper soccer equipment, including soccer ball, soccer cleats and shin guards. Running shoes are also required. Water will be provided for campers. Remember to bring your sun screen. CONTACT INFORMATION

The Pensacola Samba soccer club -- founded by head coach Peter Stephens -- was originally established as a select girls soccer club, and it continues to produce one of the area's most popular soccer tournaments each fall: the Top Gun Invitational. Coach Stephens continues to work with recreational and premier players in the area, and his services are frequently called upon for ODP and college camps. The Samba organization is an associate member of the Florida Youth Soccer Association.
